The Keeneland Spring Meet runs every Wed-Sun in April with first post time at 1:00 each day. General admission (standing only) is $7-$10 while reserved seating in the grandstands is $15-$25. Free parking and tailgate scene, dress as nice or as casual as your feel!
The Arboretum is located on UK’s campus and has 100 acres of gardens, fields, and woods. The paved trails are easy for walking any distance you want. It is a great spot for nature, especially loved by Delaney for birdwatching!
Activate Games is a great indoor activity and workout for all ages. Inside are 8 private rooms with a variety of cooperative and competitive games in each. They include lasers, basketball, shooting, floor running, jumping, and more. It is a favorite of ours, at $25 a person for 75 minutes of play.
Lexington has multiple great disc golf courses. From open/big at Shillito Park, to wooded and technical at Veterans Park, and a mix of both at Jacobson Park. Or go for a quick 9 holes at Riverhill Park. TJ plays a ton of disc golf, and Delaney has joined on lots of trips to new courses and tournaments in the surrounding area to play a round and have lunch.
Located about 25 minutes south of the city, Raven Run has many trail loops of different length and difficulty through woods and meadows. The Kentucky River Overlook has great views from atop the cliffs in the park and is a favorite of ours for getting out for the day to go hiking.
